Master the Art of Jumping

Our most crucial tip: jump frequently while exploring. While not always necessary, this mindset is invaluable. The tutorial introduces the double jump near walls, but it underemphasizes the climbability of hills, cliffs, and mountains in the open world. Unless faced with a truly insurmountable height or a story-imposed barrier, repeatedly pressing the jump button allows Yumia to scale terrain swiftly.

Uncover Hidden Question Marks

Atelier Yumia features a highly vertical world with multi-level design. Unfortunately, the map doesn't clearly represent verticality. Points of interest, marked by question marks on the mini-map, only appear when you're on the same level. If a question mark vanishes, it means you need to return to the level where it was visible. For example, a shrine on a rock face in a cave won't show on the map if you're on a different floor.

Utilize the Crouching Mechanic

The crouch mechanic is less frequent, primarily used in enclosed spaces (like removing manabound wards). However, it's crucial in certain locations like hollowed logs and sewage grates. While exploring, remember this mechanic, as it can lead to unique ingredients.
