How to farm Essence fast in LEGO Fortnite

It’s hard to forget about essence in LEGO Fortnite thanks to it popping up every time you do something. Considering you need lots of this for attaching runes to weapons, I suppose it’s a mercy.

Before you go farming for essence for the Rune Forge, remember to check how much you have by opening the inventory and looking in the bottom left corner. A player can only have 500 essence stored up, so if you’re close to that max, you may want to spend some first.

Considering essence drops in small amounts from enemies and natural resources, the best advice I can give is to travel somewhere densely packed with enemies and/or resources and go nuts. Annihilating basic foliage and slaughtering any small spiders will net you a decent handful of essence before long.

It may be wiser to harvest essence during the night, as other creatures will be spawning that you can kill for essence.

The stronger you are, the quicker you’ll be able to destroy things, so don’t worry if your essence acquisition rate is slow if you aren’t that powerful yet.

Once you have enough essence, you can think about boosting your tools with runes. But you must build the Rune Forge, first.

How to unlock and build the Rune Forge in LEGO Fortnite

Before you can use your runes and essence to upgrade your gear in the Rune Forge in LEGO Fortnite, you must unlock and build it first.

You can unlock the Rune Forge by acquiring glass for the time. Do note that if you’ve already unlocked the Enhancement Table, then you’ll already have the Rune Forge unlocked so check to make sure, first.

Then, you can build the Rune Forge with these materials:

• 20x Knotroot
• 6x Glass

When the Rune Forge is built, you will unlock four initial runes. You can now use the Rune Forge to imbue your tools with your unlocked runes using essence.

All Runes in LEGO Fortnite, ranked worst to best

There are seven rune types in LEGO Fortnite, although not all of them are going to be great. For general purposes, you’ll want to know which runes are the best to prioritize forging first. Here are all the rune types ranked from best to worst:

4. Rune of Durability
5. Rune of Berserk

Naturally, some of these runes are very situational. If you’re in a hurry to tear down a large build, then suddenly the Rune of Destruction is the most useful rune. If you aren’t preparing for a specific situation but want to grab some runes, consult this ranking to have fewer regrets.

For the most part, though, you’ll want your weapons to have the damage and health runes, as they’ll increase your survivability whilst also shortening the fights.
