Exporting PDF with jsPDF: Overcoming CSS Rendering and Image Issues
Despite its popularity for exporting HTML content to PDF, jsPDF has faced several limitations with CSS rendering and image handling. However, there are now alternative solutions to address these issues.
CSS Rendering Issues
jspdf lacks support for CSS rendering, making it challenging to maintain the styling of the source HTML content in the exported PDF. To solve this issue, consider using HTML2Canvas alongside jsPDF. Add the HTML2Canvas JavaScript file to your project and replace jsPDF's fromHTML() method with its addHTML() method.
Image Export Issues
When you encounter blank PDFs while exporting pages that contain images, it's likely due to a mismatch between the image's src attribute and its actual location. Ensure that the image path or URL specified in the HTML is correct and accessible from the web server.
