On August 23, 2024, Bandai Namco Holdings announced in a press release posted on the company's official website that it has entered into a capital and business alliance with Toho.

I can't make out the specifics, but it seems certain that they are putting effort into creating new IP. In a capital alliance, both companies acquire each other's shares. The total amount of acquisition is expected to be 2.5 billion yen, and in terms of the total number of issued shares, Bandai Namco Holdings will have acquired 0.13% and Toho will have acquired 0.25%.
