What is cbsystray.exe doing on my computer?

cbsystray.exe is a helper process which belongs to the Connected DataProtector backup utility which is sometimes bundled with other software such as Quicken. "This program is a non-essential process, but should not be terminated unless suspected to be causing problems."
Non-system processes like cbsystray.exe originate from software you installed on your system. Since most applications store data on your hard disk and in your system's registry, it is likely that your computer has suffered fragmentation and accumulated invalid entries which can affect your PC's performance.
