Chrome Issue: Addressing net::ERR_INCOMPLETE_CHUNKED_ENCODING Error
"net::ERR_INCOMPLETE_CHUNKED_ENCODING" is an error indicating incomplete transfer of data due to interrupted streaming. While this issue has been present for the past two months on an isolated Apache server without affecting other users or team members, a workaround of forcing HTTP 1.0 has been implemented.
However, further investigation revealed that the underlying cause lies elsewhere. By resetting Chrome's settings to default, the issue temporarily disappears. A more thorough analysis points to the anti-virus software (ESET NOD32 ANTIVIRUS 5) as the culprit.
When Real-Time protection is active, the error surfaces. Disabling it resolves the issue. This finding is corroborated by another developer who experienced the same problem with Kaspersky anti-virus. Hence, it is evident that the issue may not be limited to ESET.
To summarize, while forcing HTTP 1.0 may provide a superficial solution, addressing the anti-virus software's interference is crucial for a proper fix to the "net::ERR_INCOMPLETE_CHUNKED_ENCODING" error in Chrome.
